Hola Amigos! Welcome to the Global Voice 2013 blog. We are only 12 days away from our trip to Costa Rica. We will be traveling to La Fortuna to volunteer at an orphanage. This year our team is composed of the following people: Cora Jeffreys, McKenna Fletcher, Matthew Fickus, Tiffani Curtis, Jacob Pond, Lucy Pitto, Sakura Brandon, Kaelyn Uken, Darren McKay, and Rachel Breithaupt. We have already had our leadership retreat where we got to know each other better and start to plan our volunteer projects. We had great conversations with our "where do you stand activity" at our retreat and the group is getting excited to take on the leadership roles that we discussed. As per usual, we will be writing posts into this blog so that friends, family, and the world can keep up with what we are doing. We will each switch off being "leader of the day" being responsible for waking the group up, keeping on schedule, facilitating the evening activity, and making decisions as the day goes on.
